Yesterday, a few of us went on a campus tour at CSUSB. For some, this was a great way to be introduced to the campus as a new advisor as you can find out where specific campus resources are located and also find out some interesting facts along the way.

In other news, Monday, September 12th is a professional development opportunity for the New Advisors Group. The Career Center staff will be presenting a workshop called, "Branding Your Professional Self".
This workshop is meant to help us with updating our resumes,
the importance of LinkedIn, cleaning up our social media dirt and
networking. With many of us going to advising conferences this academic
year, networking and having an updated resume can be valuable tools.
